Nation’s kindness raises over £1million for Manchester Dogs’ Home.

As you may know, a horrendous arson attack earlier this week left 53 dogs dead, and the building’s kennels burnt to the ground. For more than 100 years the home has sheltered, cared for, and found families for over a million dogs in need.

So awful was the aftermath of the fire that no one could’ve foreseen the immense kindness that followed as the news spread through social media networks. Manchester Evening News set up a JustGiving.com fundraising page as soon as news of the fire broke. In the 24 hours that followed the page raised over a million pounds. As of this moment the total donated stands at £1,220,546.

It’s heartwarming to see such a national outpouring of Christian kindness towards these unfortunate animals. Please keep donating a supporting the Manchester Dogs’ Home as they begin to rebuild in the wake of this tragedy.
